Hi all,

I try and set the ring volume on my new iPhone to max, as my hearing is not what it should be.

Within a short space of time, if I check the sound settings, the volume marker is back in the middle of its range.

How can I get it to stick?

Thanks

Z

Are you using 2.1? That should've fixed this issue. If not, a full restore(maybe 2) will fix it.

I just got it 2 days ago.

I have not changed it from out-of-the-box as in order to update it iTunes wants to be allowed to install iTunes 8 as well, which I have heard bad things about if used on a windows PC.

Is iTunes 8 safe now? If it was ever not.

Not had a problem with iTunes 8 at all and been using it for a couple of weeks, like they said, 2.1 should fix the volume being changed when u use the ipod feature.

Thanks.

Just to completely clarify, the volume reverts to 'middle' although I have not yet gone into the ipod function.....

What I did was set my YouTube volume up, volume up in the settings menu and all the way up on the side buttons. When you move the switch over to vibrate that might also adjust your volume without you knowing.
