Hey guys, just wondering if anyone's been using that new wallpaper application where it downloads other's wallpapers to your phone.

And...how many people sneak porn into those wallpapers...:laugh2: Seems like a good bunch are doing so.

wallpaper move to camera roll

the previous version put the wallpapers into tv camera roll however this one puts it into the wallpaper. Is there any way to move these wallpapers to the camera roll?

I use that program all the time. I love having a great assortment of wallpaper images available and although there are some with nudity there really are very few, at least during the times that I look at them. The old version put them in the camera roll and I found that after you saved 20 or so to the phone the entire camera application just hung and didn't work any longer. Not sure how that was related to storing wallpapers in the camera roll but since the new method it works great no matter how many I save to the phone.
The wallpaper images are saved in the /var/mobile/Library/Wallpaper directory as .png files and can be copied off the phone as needed. Also in the wallpaper application you can "remove from gallery" which deletes them out of the wallpaper folder and the wallpaper list in the photo app.

I use it - however, I think there should be a way to go to the next one, as I don't want to have to look at the ones I don't wnat for 10 seconds. (Pictures of some person's kid, a really bad design made in Paint, Hillary wallpapers, etc.)

I've seen some of my Fight Club wallpapers in circulation on Wallpaper. Pretty cool, I just wish they'd keep them in the FC tho, heh.

What's interesting is that the original version of this came with iApp a Day, however it's been updated, and none of the others from that source have been.

Does anyone have a problem with Wallpaper no longer working right? I start it and I will be able to see the first image shared but then it just blinks that same image over and over again every 5-10 seconds (like it is trying to load the next but never changes it). I thought at first that it was caused by only one other person sharing their wallpaper but it has been that way for 2 days now.

I have been having this same problem for a week now using Wallpaper version 2.2 & this is the only forum that I've found that's even talking about it! I recently upgraded my firmware to 1.1.4 & used iPlus to jailbreak. I initially had problems with both my email
& camera & had to use SSH to change some permissions so they would work, so I thought that might be the problem with this program as well, but I've changed my permissions on everything I can find & it still didn't fix the Wallpaper App.

My wife still had version 1.8 (I think) on her phone, so I used SSH to copy her older version to my iPhone & it actually works again, but I'd still like to know why the latest version doesn't work on my phone.

frankyfingerz - in the root/applications folder should be a folder called "Wallpaper.app". All you have to do is zip the folder & upload it & anyone who is having the problem should be able to unzip it & replace theirs with yours & it should fix the problem (worked for me). I would do it, but I just joined this forum & don't know how to upload anything.

OK, stupid me, after I put the old version of Wallpaper back on my iPhone through SSH, I only checked to see if the wallpapers would advance past the first one, which they did. HOWEVER, I neglected to check if it would actually save the wallpapers I wanted - it DOES NOT. SO, when I get home tonight I will check the permissions & see if I need to change anything (I thought I did already)...
