It looks like Wal Mart is going to start selling the iPhone 3g December 28th. Theres been rumors that the 3G is supposed to come down in price, beings Wal Mart is "the low price leader" is it possible that they'll sell it for less than Apple or Best Buy?

Well, crap.

I would think that if they were going to lower the price, they would lower them everywhere, not just at Wal-Mart. Unless Wal-Mart was willing to pay the difference, of course. Even then, I'm not sure Apple/AT&T would have it.

I am pretty sure the price will only go down as soon as a V3 comes out. Walmart or whatever store can not just make it cheaper than buying it from AT&T and BestBuy, that would just ruin their rivals' businesss, wouldn't it?

Yeah, I remember reading that somewhere. Not a bad deal, for someone who doesn't carry around a ton of music/videos/movies/etc.

I heard that Apple won't let them sell it for a lower price but include a 100 gift card of some sort.

With a 3G, I would not be unhappy with a 4 gigger at all. Orblive has really changed my perspective of what I need to have actually loaded on my phone. With a good connection, you can access your entire library anywhere. No video conversion needed, either!

My next phone I will probably go up to 16g (from my current 8g), but I don't really see the need for 32g or more. That's just me though.

For places without 3g or wifi.

Like airplanes.

Yeah I know. That's why I said "That's just me though". I go on an airplane once every couple years at best.

You know why that is not bad? Because more businesssmen are going to start using the iPhone. As we all know, businesssmen don't really add a lot of music, videos, or whatever to their cellphones. BlackBerries have low storage sizes, it all depends on the memory card. I assume the Red iPhone will be out as well? lol.

8gigs is enough for me. On my 30gig iPod video I never used over 6 gigs
I agree, I've got over a 1000 songs on my iPhone and at the most listen to maybe 25 of them on a regular basis. Beings MMS messaging (no Im not complaining) isn't an option I don't use the camera that often so I don't waste much memory space on photo's.

$99 for a 4 gig iPhone thats not a bad deal. I checked Wal-Mart's web site last night and they don't have the iPhone listed yet so we'll have to wait and see.

I check their website last week and all they had were cases, not sure if they've sold those before or if they are stocking up.

Not everyone is as blessed as most of us here and maybe can't afford $199 for a phone. If Wal-Mart can offer a 4 gig to them, I say great. Remember there is still the voice plan, data plan, and txt plan to pay for.
