I wanted to return my iPhone today, the last day of the 14-day period after having purchased it at the Apple store on iDay. I called AT&T in the morning and cancelled my service, then gave the phone a good cleaning, put everything in the beautiful box, put the iPhone itself in my shirt pocket, got into my car and started driving towards the Apple store.

I decided to listen to one last song on the iPhone on my way, so I connected it to my great sound system and chose one of the best songs ever recorded, the original Hotel California by the Eagles. I played with the UI, kicking up the volume and flipping the album art a few times.

I got to the mall that houses the Apple store while the song was still playing, and instead of turning into the mall, I just kept on driving... I decided then and there that I must keep this wonderful little gadget, money be damned!

I called AT&T later in the day and had my service reinstated. I'm posting this from my iPhone with a smile on my face :)

Great story! A decision I believe you won't regret!

You don't own the iPhone, it owns YOU. Further proof.

Seriously though, as long as you didn't spend the rent money on it, just lay off the porn, smokes, bars, McDonalds, (insert vice here) for a bit to help recoup some of the money. Respect.
