Sounds like a perfect time for us to announce our web app. No seriously, hit up the homepage from your iPhone and bookmark it. It web appizes the news and puts a handy icon on your desktop, which works nicely next to your iCafe community app.:sneaky:

Actually I'm using web apps again. I sopped because my downloaded apps filled all my home screens, but with folders I have room for them now.

What are your favorite web apps.
Personally I use a lot of them, first they save space on my phone, and second some are better built like the native YouTube, the webapp version is 10 times better. Another one is "SWEARCH" check it out.
If you have any that you'll like to share, please post it here.

PS: also check out wolframalpha it does exactly what the app store app does and it's free.

Google Reader - hands down, by miles and miles.
I love it too, used it for a year now, got tired of this hard to figure out and bad UI's on the app store a long time ago. Good choice and free ;-)

That was my approach for ages as well. Now I do use a couple of apps on the iPad for RSS, but it took a long, long while for native apps to match up well with the web app.

Before I download anything besides games, I always check if it's available on the web first, even if it's free, i rather save space for music and games.

Hmm, that's a novel approach. I find that really good web apps that match native apps are very rare. One that looks promising but I haven't had a chance to try yet is Swearch.

True, app store apps are always a little better, or very buggy, but in the case of wolframalpha I thought it was stupid to spend 1.99 on an app when you need an Internet connection anyway and the web app has 90% of the functionality that the app store app does.
