I'd like to potentially write a simple, native time and billing app for the iPhone (see my request for an existing solution in
http://forums.everythingicafe.com/threads/how-to-keep-track-of-time-and-billing-info.8849/
Can someone describe what I need in terms of software and skill sets to get started?

I've got Mac and PC systems. I've done some software and database programming in the past on Windows, mostly VB type stuff.
I'm a VB guy also who would be interested in how difficult it would be to make that jump. I'm pretty sure you'll need to do it on the Mac with one of the langaugees they make available.

Did you install the development stuff with OSX? It's all in there I think.

After that? Google... or talk to Erica over at TUAW.
