Well mine is a bit of a typo. My nickname is JB and my pledge date in college was 8/29/04, thus 82904. When signing up, I accidentally added a 9! )= Yes, I realize that mistake fits the sorority stereotype quite well. Fortunately, I do not. Anyway, I wonder if there is a way to fix the username without making a new one?!
I sent Chris a PM some time ago regarding shortening my display name from TarekElsakka to Tarek but he wasn't interested in the idea. I'm not sure what his reply was, but he had a point. And in my opinion, if one changes, everyone else will want to do the same, which would give him a hard time.
All you have to do is create a new identity/username. Sure you won't have the post count you once had, but as long as you tell everyone who you are it shouldn't matter. I have an alter-ego on eiC, but I haven't used it in a while.
A reminder that multiple accounts are not permitted as per the forum rules, and changing your name is very damaging to our databases and google results, so it is rarely done. So just be happy with who you are.
