My 3GS is AMAZING! But I noticed something. I have a really small dead pixel in the top right of my screen. Would you go to the Apple store and ask for a replacement? I just synced about 17 gigs worth of stuff too:/ Then I noticed it. So what would you do?

I would live with it for a week until the ferver died down, then make an appt and exchange it. At the price we're paying for it...it should be perfect.

Take it back while you can still be assured of getting a new one isntead of refurb.

Go now. My Apple had some provisions over the reserved # of phones in case there were some dead out of the box. For a pixel, I don't know if they would make you wait, but I would try now.

I had a "dead pixel" on my 3G when i first got it but it went away actually over a period of about a day or so...so i would use it as is and if it is still there after a day or 2 then bring it back after all of this release day madness IMO

Same here. i had a pixel out on a laptop and then after a couple of days it came back. I would give it a week and it may come back.

I decided not to go today living in NYC and all. Closest Apple store to me is the 5th avenue store and there is no way I can get in there unless I am purchasing a 3GS from there. I got mine delivered by the way.

Anyways, I'll give it till Monday-Wednesday. Greg thanks for that article. I'll call Apple tomorrow to see what I can do. Policy usually changed in-store though depending on the person.

And I can go to the Apple store for the exchange right? Even though I got it delivered from Apple.com?

Yes, go to Apple store, but make sure you set up an appt.

Yeah, thanks for the reminder. I can't even remember how many times I forgot to set up Genius appointments.

So I went and I got a new one taken our of a weird white box. I think it was one of their backups. So I restored and synced and everything is the same without that annoying dead pixel:)
