So I use my iPhone for work as well as personal use and went WAY over my minutes. So much over that AT&T started exponentionally charging me. It got to the point were I was at just under $1/minute.

Total bill: $609.56

Good thing my employer is paying for it.

About 4 or 5 years ago, I was billed a $1,000.00 bill due to not understanding free nights and weekends. Turns out you only get like 2,000 "free" night and weekend minutes, and I had talked up a storm. AT&T (Cingular at the time) waived about $400.00 of it. After that, we upgraded to the truly unlimited package.

I lost my other job over the summer and had to pay off two months it cost me $495.68 but I resolved all that. Now my bill is $112 a month and i'm fine paying that. If you think about it I would rather pay for the 1350 minutes for $79.99 (their system kept that price plan for some reasons unknown which is good instead of the $99.99) and Unlimited text for $40 I don't get overcharged ever and recently I started gaining rollover minutes and have about 2,600 accrued. I would rather pay a solid $112 and not have to worry about my bill every month that I go over. Better piece of mind jsut like Apple says haha.
