In monopoly money. 35k without over time. I'm not worried about the economy too much. I work in a criminal institution and there will always be criminal.

You can't discuss salary without discussing location. iCafe says he makes 50K+, which probably sounds like a helluva lot of money to someone like PDS living in Kentucky. truth is, and with no disrespect to Tom, in New York 50K is really just above an entry level salary. my company pays the receptionist 45K.

there was an article online the other day stating that "An annual salary of $123,322 in New York would be the equivalent of a $50,000 salary in Houston."

I agree. With summer school I make over 60K a year, in NY, which is nothing. And I live in the suburbs of NY. I also tutor, which is off the books. I still find myself counting pennies all the time just to make it through two weeks. Especially after my rent, utilities, and other bills are paid.

I made over $10,000 less this past year than the previous year. The music industry is definitely feeling it.
