Where and when do you use your iPad Pro?

I'm curious. Based on the size of the iPad Pro (I believe it is too large), when\where do you use your iPad Pro?

Currently, I use and own an iPad Air II. I mainly use it in bed, posting to forums (as in this instance). Other times I'm using it while sitting on the sofa. Hence why I think the iPad Pro is too big. To me it would be tiresome to hold to use...

Well since this is touted as a laptop replacement that's exactly how I use it, with a twist! I'm not the fastest typist in the world so the Zagg Keys Flex Mini keyboard works great for me and I just set it on my desk and use it throughout the day whenever typing needs to happen.

I do use the pencil so much that I charge it on a daily basis. So as to what I actually do, I use Excel and Word but my main programs are One Note and To Do Cloud. I also use PDF Expert quite a bit in meetings to display and markup PDFs of any size.

I use mine all the time. Mostly onenote at work which works great and then I'm surfing the web or on forums at home like now. Not to big for me to use in bed or on the couch.

I don't know how you guys use iPads Pros in bed - unless you're sitting straight up. I have to use an iPhone in bed when I'm lying down. I have an iPad mini 2, and while it's nowhere near as bad as my iPad 3 was, it's still awkward for me to use in pretty much every situation except watching movies. The last time I used it was to watch a movie in my hotel room in Vegas last November because they disable all of the ports on the TVs (in attempt to get people out of their rooms and down on the casino floors).

You and I would rather drink malteds and watch Lost and Jessica Jones than waste good money. :)

Except I prefer drinking them over painting the hotel walls with them. :D I'll never forget you losing a fighting battle with that plastic lid and getting chocolate malt everywhere in the process. I think I used two thirds of our towels cleaning up our room!

The malted had it coming. I told it not to make me angry. Sorry, @ivantwilliams .

Isn't this new IPad about the size of the original iPads?

The wife and I just picked up the 128 gig wifi cellular. We both use it for school as we can download our books to it easily. I'll watch movies occasionally and the kids play their games in it

One thing that apple would do to improve apple keyboard costumer experience is to add lights to iPad pro keyboard (like macbook air ones) it will for sure improve the use of ipad pro experience.

I've always used my 9.7" iPads on the couch while passively watching TV (usually when the wife has the remote and Bravo's in the background) and in bed in the morning and before going to sleep. I thought the iPad Pro might be too big for this. I just got it on Saturday (2 days ago) and so far I am actually loving using it in both places. I'm finding that it immerses me much more in what I'm doing. Whether I'm playing SIM City or reading an article - the screen envelopes a lot more of my peripheral vision and therefore my attention. It's the big screen up close effect. Maybe it's not good for my eyes but so far so good.

To answer the original OP - I wasn't exactly sure how I would use this 12.9" iPad over the "Normally Sized" 9.7" iPads of my past. I've always used them at work with OneNote and other Office programs - so I got the Apple Keyboard Cover and I am really loving it - though not loving the back being exposed. I'm springing for another $80 (UGH) to get Apple's silicon back cover. Anyways, use-wise, I more heavily use iPad as explained in response to the quote above - reading, browsing, light gaming. I used to dabble in drawing/sketching, (though I'm still awful at it) so I also got the Apple Pencil. I've sketched a few things so far in Adobe Sketch and I really enjoyed it. The pencil is pretty much real time and the angle/pressure sensitivity is the best I've seen/used. Here is a sketch of my dad I did with it....[braces for insults lol]

So far I'm bought in.

I'm really enjoying my iPad Pro 9.7". I use it everyday just like I did my iPad Air 2 the main difference is everything. It sounds sooooo much better, it's much faster and it is sooo much more brighter! Love this iPad Pro. I contemplated getting the 12.9" when it came out only for a moment, but I knew it was waaay too big for me as I carry my iPad with my daily. So glad they came out with the Pro features in the 9.7" body. Good Job Apple! LOL!!

Classic me reviving old dead threads, yay!

I use my iPad Pro 12.9" for drawing, but it's also my laptop replacement with my Zagg Slimbook case. I don't think I'll ever need a MacBook ever again, however I sure would like a new iMac...

I use it for basically what I'd use my old Air for. I'd never really use the Air while moving around but sitting at a table I think it makes the perfect size for writing.

I mainly use it at home but I have the 10.5 size so I have no problem taking it to the mall or the park

My bed adjusts up and down but I get your point. If I were laying flat it would be too awkward using a 10.5 inch ipad
