How many times are you going to fall for this? No one on this site or any other discussion forum is going to have accurate information about updates to the software. Only Apple knows when they are going to make updates available, and everyone in the company has signed NDA's so they can't talk about it publicly. In other words, you'll know when your iTunes says "A new version of iTunes is available" and not a moment before... unless Jobs goes in front of the camera's and announces it before hand.

You are correct, good sir! I just end up believing what these guys say. I'm just hungry for a "real" update. Don't get me wrong- I love my iPhone!

Over the air = update via the Edge Network as opposed to iTunes.

Opening office attachments means if someone emails you an excel or word document, you can open it on your iPhone.

Actually, Jobs said in his speech that the new software would be available "tonight" - which would have been last night. I checked last at about 11:30 est, and no update, but since they are in CA I guess they had a little buffer! I'm downloading it now...
