Hi all, since upgrading to ios7 I can no longer tell if I am getting a 3G signal as the symbol no longer appears on the top info bar just a series of 4 dots that take up more space than the old bars.
This is also the case with the iPad mini using its SIM card for roaming.
Thinking about this a little from a cynical viewpoint I now can't complain about EE coverage as I can't tell if I'm receiving it or not.
I still don't feel the need to try 4G and on ios7 couldn't tell if I had it anyway.
Anyone else think this is an omission from the operating system?

The 5 dots are basically your signal. Do you also have the wifi symbol? If I'm not on wifi, it'll either say 4G or LTE.

Yes what you say is true but it used to be visible even when the wi-fi was active. Sometimes using public hotspot wi-fi when the signal is weak I would switch the wi-fi off if I had a good 3G signal.
The bars can be at full strength but 3G still absent but then things are lagging behind in the UK.
I suppose I haven't really bonded with iOS 7 yet!

I see. Hopefully you can get adjusted to iOS 7. It's easier said than done, and may take a little while.
