Docd, nope June as well. And they restricted how many watches you could buy.. Kinda stupid.. Wanted to buy two sports, one stainless steel and it stated only 2 per customer, yet it would let you go back in and create a separate
order with no issues.. Ship dates are ridiculous!!
Well I was able to order 4 but I did a separate order for each one.

Is that what they are calling the Apple Watch version Space Black cause the Sport comes in Space Grey.

Correct. Space black is stainless and space gray is the aluminum sport.

Tell you one better.. Called Apple Store locally today asking about the watch and new Macbook.. You can only get in to look at the bands with an appointment... WTF?? Oh, he says, "and we don't start taking those appointments until tomorrow morning at 10am". What a crock of sh&^t... And when asked about the new Macbook, he didn't even know it was released tonight as well.. Thought these people were supposed to be well trained. Kinda frustrating! Wish I didn't like Apple products so much.. Damn it!!! (y)

Looks like someone didn't get the memo. Lol Sorry about your frustration though.

Just kinda glancing at the dates.. June? Did they really run out that fast ? I didn't think the demand was that high.. specially for the price. But I guess people want it more than I thought.

These will fly off shelves just like any other Apple product. My beef has always been with the prices on bands but I may consider getting the sports model once third party bands start hitting the market. I read about a battery case or band that looked pretty sweet.

I just checked on the shipping date for a rose gold edition (not buying - just curious) and it's July. AppleCare+ is $1500 on it. O_o So the total is $18,500 before tax. Yeesh.

I woke up at 2:55. I had the Apple Store app and the watch I selected as a favorite. My order confirmation came in at 3:05. It has an April 24th - May 8th delivery date.

I ordered the 38mm stainless with black sport band. If the aluminum was available with the black band, I would have went in that direction. I figured that if I bought any color, I'd be looking at an additional $50 just for the band. Plus, I may at some point jump to a leather band. So my cost was either $399 (38mm + band) or $549. I figured the added $150 gets me the band I want, flexibility to add bands and the materials used are more resistant to nicks and scratches. It's sort of like my AppleCare+.

I ordered a Tim Cook special (42mm SS with white sport band) in the first minute or two of the preorders going live. I got the same shipping range as Chris. Did anyone actually get a "delivers on 4/24" date?

I haven't seen anyone online that has an April 24th delivery date. This reeks of under-promise, over deliver. At least, that's my hope.

That's what I'm hoping for, too. I'm just so used to seeing the "delivers on launch date" from all previous iPhone preorders.
