I use the passcode so I can control the SMS preview.

Nah...I'm really not worried. She only has it locked because of some sensitive data in Notes. It's probably a good idea to lock it anyway.

1 of my co workers laughed at me oneday saying theres no reason to lock your phone. Oneday he got drunk at a party and passsed out and his GF picked him & his phone up off the floor. Lets just say when he woke up he didn't have a GF anymore.

I get annoyed that I have to wait for an extra millisecond when I slide to unlock, so I definitely don't want to be hindered by having to enter a passcode.

No passcode - no sensitive data on the phone, and it's never out of my sight, anyway.

i passcode lock mine. i keep personal information about some family members there that i don't want anyone else to have access to without my knowledge (my husband knows my passcode, though - i had to make it something easy for him to remember in case he needs to use my iPhone)...

Hmm. Let's just say that if you are faithful to your significant other, then your co-worker is correct: There is no need for a password.

Being faithful to the one you love? Wow. There's a concept.
