I am under PAYG, and I can't re activate my phone myself because the iPhone won't let me. Last time it was activated officially unjailbroken was at the Apple store when I got it replaced due to a crack. What should I do?

Jailbreaking it with QuickPWN should activate it.

I really want to jailbreak it, I really do. But I am afraid of doing it. I did it with my V1 but it got REALLY laggy! And I hated that, and I am afraid my 3G will reject the sim card, just like when I jailbroke my first 3G.

Well it's worth a try, right? You can always go back to stock if it's too laggy or rejects the SIM, then you'll just be back at square one and have to find another way.

Ok, I hope it accepts it. I asked the Apple store if they can install it for me because "my computer broke" but both stores said no (crap). I will try to jailbreak it as soon as I get 3.0. 3.0 Jailbreak is already out? And I never updated my software, only restores. Will updating delete my info, music?

The unlock will be released Friday, so I have to assume the JB will be released Thursday or Friday.

Updating will remove the jailbreak. I recommend restoring to factory settings, Re-Jailbreaking, syncing you media, contacts, and apps back on and putting your settings in.

Be sure to back up your contacts first, if you haven't already.

Man, I can't wait that long! Crapp!
waited 1 week since the announcemnent
and now 3 more days!
I don't even have my iPhone jailbroken, it's legally working PAYG activated by Apple.
So there's no jailbreak on it, and yes everything is backed up.

I feel very confident with the 3.0 unlock, but I don't know much about that PAYG, I'd probably be a little hesitant to update at all if I was using PAYG. But good luck with it!

Lol thanks! Hahaha! I called AT&T and they actually said I'm fine having my iPhone under PAYG. Apple activated it when I got a new iPhone replacement so I want to see how to work it out.
