I've asked this before but still a bit uncertain.

I use my laptop as my primary machine. It holds my data and media and I sync my 4S with it.

If bought abroad will it work OK in the UK? Will I have to buy any adaptors or transformers? Or will a British cable purchased from an Apple store power it OK?

    What about software?

    Thanks

As far as I'm aware there's no problems, you can select United Kingdom during set up. The only problem is the power adapter will not work, and you'll need to get a new one from an Apple store in UK.

As far as software there's not really any difference, you can set it to UK localisation, not sure if the US keyboard differs but I doubt not.

Go ahead! Although the prices would be very similar if you've bought it in the UK, especially from retail Apple stores.
