Still waiting to find out if a genuine charger was being used or if she really did answer the phone after stepping out of the bathtub. So many questions...

I will firstly mention the use of "lol" in the title is grossly inappropriate. It is not funny that someone died. Anyway, my bets are either: counterfeit iPhone/ counterfeit charger or a problem with the houses wiring which caused a surge. Maybe what naps said and she had wet hands or something. It is funny how this sort of thing is only reported in places like China.

Chances it was the iPhone, slim. Still, it's pretty scary that a charger can do that. I wonder if it's the electrical, along with the charger. How many people use off brand chargers? I know I have a Monoprice car adapter and have a few bogus Lightning to USB cables.
