I downloaded it yesterday and forgot to use it when i was out earlier. Anyone test it out yet. Im to lazy to hop in the car and go for a spin. Besides that, it's raining.

It works pretty well, BigCiX. The only complaint I have concerns the low volume of the voice commands. The developers are supposed to be addressing this issue in a future update, though I'm not sure if it's really a software problem or a limitation of the iPhone's hardware.

I wonder if this just burns Apple up in the inside. knowing that a solid navigation app is out for free and nowhere in their control.

I certainly hope it does.

Apple has to learn eventually that no matter what they do, folks are going to get the applications they want, whether or not Apple makes any money from them.

Is this in App store or Cydia and does it cost, I'm sure it probably would but what I mean is it worth it.?

Is this program compatible with the 3gs? I can't seem to configure the application correctly. I have downloaded gpsserial also.

Anyone have any luck on an 'S' ?

Always says 'GPS information is unavailable' on mine.

edit: Nevermind, just had to change the GPS type to iPhone 3G and it works.

It works with the 3GS. You have to select the 3G internal GPS in GPS settings.

Still testing it, for the moment.

I tried it out yesterday and I'm glad I didn't have to pay for it. It works ok since it's free but it is very jumpy, it's far from being smooth like the native map app. It seems a bit buggy as well, I would get the "wrong way" msg at random times and the speedometer is also off as well.

Anybody up to putting together a tutorial on how to use this app? I'm not having any luck with xGPS.

I tried it yesterday on a drive into Vegas. It was "OK" for a free app. But the "Wrong Way!" crap was quite annoying. The there's the fact I drove most of the way with KPH instead of MPH, nor realizing it was a simple settings change.

But for free, well, it worked.
