The native YouTube app was removed from ios6. There is a YouTube app in the app store now.

yep I read that the license agreement with google and Apple had ended so they removed it. Probably why we got new maps too.

I'm not very happy that I lost You Tube on my Ipad. How do I get it back?

Use the web app until an iPad specific app comes out.

The YouTube app is tons better than stock iPhone app that was jettisoned. And the app looks very similar to the web app. Also, I'm not a YouTube addict so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about. :)

The google youtube app is good but I couldn't find an add to favourites function which stores your favourite youtube videos within the app. If you go to your bookmarks within Safari there should be a folder which will have stored your youtube favourites after you upgrade to i06. I think you can continue adding favourites to that folder with the google app but it now means exiting the app. Also, your favourites stored in your bookmarks section of safari is identified with some alpha numeric code, there's no name or image to identify the video as was the case with the native app. Bit of an inconvenience but it is better than no app at all. Hopefully google update it with a built-in-app-favourite function soon.

What's the secret to have you tube continue to run? When I play a video it will only play for a second or two, then stop. It wont download a video. It's not wanting to download.
    Thx

Don't know the answer to the question but anyone notice the YouTube app disappeared with the iOS 6 update?

Yep, it's gone with iOS 6. Download the new Google developed YouTube app. It's free and better...

Already did. My little ones who occasionally steal my phone to watch kid vids on YouTube don't like the new one haha. That's the only reason I knew it wasn't there when my 2 yr old asked where the dump trucks were lol... He likes dump truck vids

That's funny. My daughters have a bunch of Barbie and My Little Pony videos bookmarked as well. Luckily they stay with my YouTube account...
