    app restrictions

My work gave me an ipad to use but what they do is install the one app you need and then turn on restrictions so you cannot access the app store and install any more apps. Is there any possible way around this besides doing a straight up restore? They load on a bunch of documents as well so I...

    iPhone V1 Digitizer Replacement

I just need someone who is more familiar with this to confirm for me: Is this all I need to replace the digitizer for my original iPhone? http://cgi.ebay.com/iphone-2G-LCD-w-Touch-Glass-Screen-Digitizer-NEW-US-/180595376547?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item2a0c52c1a3#ht_2881wt_1013 I know I will...

MacBook Magic Mouse and OSX/Bootcamp Windows 7

I solved this problem for anyone else who might have now or in the future will have. I had to roll back the bootcamp mouse drivers to 3.1 as opposed to the newest ones. That enabled all of the "magic" features under Windows 7.

MacBook Pro Buying my first MBP, help?

You ever try newegg? I was checking out the site you just posted out of curiosity. I upgraded my hard drive and ram for significantly cheaper than macsales. Macsales is still better than going direct to the Apple store. As for ebay there can be scams but its all about being smart on who you...

MacBook Pro Buying my first MBP, help?

Sometimes Applecare is not needed. I baby my MacBook and have had a CD/DVD drive as well as a hard drive go out. Just the luck of things it seems.

    MacBook Latest OS X update

The problem with your hard drive is more than likely something that simple software will not be able to retrieve. There are a lot of programs for retrieving data but only work for accidental delete/reformats. When you have a hard drive fail the disk is going to have to be opened up and the...

    MacBook Latest OS X update

You can always get you data back its just a matter of how much money you are willing to spend. The Feds can get contents off a hard drive after its been burned, smashed with a hammer, and dropped in the ocean. If you simply google "data recovery after hard drive failure" you will come up with...

    MacBook Latest OS X update

I had the folder with a question mark and it was my hard drive that failed. Luckily it was under warranty but perhaps disk utility is lying to you.

MacBook Magic Mouse and OSX/Bootcamp Windows 7

Are there windows drivers specifically for the magic mouse on the OSX discs? I've been doing bootcamp for a while so when I first set up Windows 7 I remember popping my SL disc in to install drivers and then I have updated it to bootcamp 3.2. I read somewhere that you had to pair it first with...

MacBook Magic Mouse and OSX/Bootcamp Windows 7

Does anybody here have a magic mouse and use it with Windows 7 and bootcamp by chance? I have it running great in OSX. I can get it up and running in Windows 7 but when I restart the mouse no longer works in Windows 7. I've been scouring the net for a couple days but cannot seem to find...

using Parallels to Install Windows 7 - Error?

I know this is a rather late response but the I believe the solution to your problem is you need to disable floppy disc drive support. Its been a while since I used parallels so look for some option about floppy drives at the beginning of the process and disable it. Hopefully this helps anyone...
