Does the incase really scratch the chrome?

Scratched mine up. I taped the screen and converted the shiney chrome bezel to a brushed look, so no more worrying about it. IMHO it looks better, less bling. But then I also moved to an Orbino case to, which is awesome.

Buff out scratches, new look to iPhone

A gentle wipe-off every day will take care of this. For something that is/will be handled regularly this is a non-issue. I have several steel watches with brush-finished bracelets (not polished) and none of them have oxidized. In fact, between services, to remove surface scratches on the...

Buff out scratches, new look to iPhone

I have a small side businesss of restoring vintage motorcycles, so I am quite familiar with metal work, polishing, brushing, ect. I just used a 3M Scotch-Brite pad and worked around the polished steel bezel (def NOT chrome) of my iPhone. Very pleased with how it looks (brushed) and now the...

Anyone really rich own an iPhone and willing to reveal themselves?

Sweet E39 M5! Drive it in good health! I would love to own an M car although probably never will. I did have the opportunity to tour BMW GmbH last year and drive an M6 for the day, incl WOT on the Autobahn heading toward Dingolfing. That was pretty cool.

How often should the iPhone be turned off?

I top off the battery every night, and reboot the phone every morning. My battery life is good. I have yet to have one site crash Safari, or another other crash for that matter. Granted, I think sites are more to blame then something in the iPhone, but still... Wife's iPhone similar, no...

Cool things I've done with my iPhone. How 'bout you?

Last night my home was struck by lightning. Loudest noise, shook the entire house. Immediately there was a loud pressure leak heard the an upstairs wall which was either a gas leak or refrigerant (both go up to my attic for upstairs heat/air). In addition killed our wireless HP printer...

Cool things I've done with my iPhone. How 'bout you?

I do some video work and Apple has made it SO easy to get your already created content to your iPhone. I open my 1080i HD files exported from Final Cut in QuickTime, and Export:iPhone. It takes some time depending on the HW. Move this into iTunes and sync. Now you can have your video...

    Dust under the screen

So far mine is OK, but I am worried about this to. After about 6 months my razr screen was full of dust and looked horrible. My Pearl also got dust under the screen, and even in less time.

tharmsen- Every now and then I get out my old PCjr and boot it up. Then there is the NeXTstation in the closet - old computer geeks like you and me just cannot give that stuff up. I have 6 old Macs ranging from an original 128K to a Plus and Color Classic. In college I made extra income...

Anyone really rich own an iPhone and willing to reveal themselves?

MarkBooth- I have given as much information as I am comfortable disclosing on a forum. But the words 'debt up to my eyeballs' do not apply. I still feel lower middle class. I just happen to live in a very booming area, but do not really feel the boom myself  Former Apple engineer...
