    Verizon unveils iPhone rival Voyager

I hope Apple gets on the ball with this competition, but my guess is they're not quite shaking in their boots just yet. Especially with all their consumers talking about what a failure the Voyager appears to be and how crappy Verizon is. Clearly we need to start Oohing and Aahing over it. Start...

So who's holding off on the update?

People still seem to be updating their apps. I'm hoping enough people are refraining from updating that 3rd party developers still deem it worthwhile to keep working. Plus, Apptapp may still be fixed eventually.

How many have not modded or unlocked your iPhone?

see above. i totally get it if you don't want to alter the pristine condition of the factory settings, makes total sense to me. but you won't be destroying your phone by modding it.

how to check what firmware i am running before activation ?

hmm, good point. well, i found this: http://nanocr.eu/2007/07/03/iphone-without-att/ looks like you can fool an activation, then unlock, but it doesn't appear to confirm whether you can update after doing that. worth a try i suppose

How many have not modded or unlocked your iPhone?

Well, there you go... So I think that if you're refraining from modding your iPhone purely because you think your phone may be irreperably damaged by the next update, then you really shouldn't fear... Plus, given the fact that 10%-20% of iPhone owners have modded, if Apple DID do something so...
