Tried it and it still pops up the SMS message. Maybe you HAVE to have security lock on. I turned it off after following your steps.

You can download different themes with Installer or a whole bumch of different backgrounds from there as well. Do you already have Installer on your phone?

My SMS is soo inconsistent it's not even funny. Some people get them and some don't. Or I will be texting back and forth with someone and I will not get a few messages. It sucks...
