Unfortunately it doesn't appear the SHSH has was backed up on this phone. I have the old bootrom (no tether required). If need be, jailbreaking is the most important. Five icons on the dock and backgrounder are practically a requirement!

Doesn't work. From what I understand unless you knew to save on a special server (Saurik) then there is no way to have the 3.1.2 image validate for the restore. Right now my phone is a brick until I can figure out what to do.

Apple is wise to this and won't allow you to verify the 3.1.2 image. Tried to edit hosts file with no success. I am stuck also with a bricked iPhone until a system exists to allow a 3.1.2 restore.

Yah... reception is always based upon area. In big cities my reception is almost equal to Verizon's no matter what they say. In fact, there are times it is better. The only negative is that GSM results in drop / dead spots but it's rare. I noticed it when it happened the handful of times. IMHO...
