As a matter of fact yes, but i have experience this with videos that i've recorded using the phone camera, 1h video recording, when playing it back it went to a kind slow motion video some time and very fast motion another time, and this some thing like from the 15mn part of the video till end...

I don't get it right, what is the troubles with having scraches all over the phone? After all, it's a mobile phone that have to be carried everywhere i go, so the chances of getting scraches on it a very high, plus i can see these craches affecting either the phone perfomaces or reading outputs...
