It took me awhile to get here because I took a pretty long hiatus to deal with this thing called life
My one year is coming up in a few weeks!
Here's my reveal, although I'm a fairly open book, so I'm not sure what I can tell you that you don't already know.
My name is Ginny
I'm less than 2 months away from becoming a lawyer. I'm the first person in my family (extended family included) to get a university degree. My mom is an administrative assistant and my dad is a sheet metal journeyman, so people often ask me "why law?"
After high school, I got a job as an Office Clerk (aka coffee gopher) at a law firm. I worked my way up over the few years I was there, and eventually became a legal assistant. I realized that I loved law and that I couldn't go any further unless I went to university, so I did!
Truth be told, if I knew then what I know now, I don't know if I would do it all over. That being said, I'm in a transition period right now and I feel pretty confident that in 5 years, I'll be glad I didn't give up.
I'm a pretty passionate, yet sensitive person. I like a good debate, and genuinely do not get worked up when I'm engaged in a healthy debate. It's a bit odd debating with my lovely friends here on eiC, because I think we've all imagined some nasty tone when reading someone else's post that, let's be honest, probably wasn't even there.
In any case, I am so grateful for everyone here at eiC. I feel fortunate to be able to discuss a wide range of topics with you all, from the origin of life to tonight's dinner; from the perfect piece of pizza to infamous murder trials; from celebrity deaths to Jersey Shore
I continually browse the iPhone portions of the forum, and answer when I can, but I have found that I receive much more advice than I am able to give when it comes to iPhones. Likely to the dismay of some, this means that most of my 1,000 posts are in the Off Topic section I also do my best to welcome new members in the Introductions section with a smile!
I appreciate the entire community, but I'm going to single some people out now Ray, Kati, Chris (canamera), Benny, Scott, Naps, Sharunda, imutter, Mac, computerfox, Alex, James, Europa, Tarek, physcology and so many more... Thank you for your advice, your insight, your jokes, your patience, your craziness, your awesomeness (you probably know which one or more applies to you, lol).
