Only in Miami does this kinda of shyt happen. Listen to this and forgive my typing because my hands our shaking like crazy due to all the trauma the cops caused me. 1st the facts, they came out at 6pm and said they had only 50 and I was #46 in line so I was kool. so at 6pm they let in the 1st batch of people to buy the iPhone (they also said 2 per person so most of us before 50 we're worried to say the least also 3 Miami Beach COP cars had been posted outside 2 COPS per car since 5:30pm for "crowd control" so we thought) and 1 COP went in also, no big deal at the time no one payed it any mind but low and behold 15min later a couple of proud new iPhone owners walk out with a little bag that bought 1 and 2 little bags that bought 2.
Needless to say they were happy as hell and practically ran to their car. Well 5min after that the COP comes out with a HUGE bag so the next guy in line confronts the COP saying "hey how are you able to buy what looked like to us 6 iPhones" givin the number of COPS that were there without waiting in line? I have been here since 9am. that COP made a mad dash past him got in the car and took off, while the COPS physically man handled him throwing him out of line up against the cop car asking him "Why are you harassing that officer?"
meanwhile I am recording all of this on my cell and like a dumbass not trying to hide the fact. Well 1 COP noticed and did the same to me threw me up against the cop car demanding me to hand over my phone, well after a long 2min of wrestling him he told the other officer to help him put the handcuffs on me. With that said I gave up and told him please I will delete it look. So i did and he let me go.
I jumped back in line to my 46th spot and by the time I did turned around and all the COPS took off with their lights on only. So to make a long story short, to late I know. Remeber they said they had 50 and I was #46 well when it came time for me to walk in the door and buy one they said we are sold out. So at that point we all in line figured it out that the COPS were not there for crowd control (even tho AT&T had their own security officer there) they were just there to buy 6 iPhones, my iPhone.
Needless to say I will be crying for the next couple of days or weeks it might be till I receive mine. Anybody else got a story to tell? Misery loves company ya know.

I am sorry to hear this happened to you, that really sucks. Were you at the Lincoln Road Apple store? I live in Miami and went to Fort Lauderdale to get my iPhone to escape the madness down there. Too many corrupted people around Miami.

Ya they let a bunch of people cut where I was too. I was #6 and I ended up being 10.

3 people in front of me had a friend, mom and dad show up with about 20 mins left. Each was just like we want to go in and look at the phone while our kid/friend buys theirs. I saw all of them buy a phone and no one said I word. I told the guy he better sell me 2 since they let that happen, but he refused. Was pretty lame. Hope no one lost a phone cause of them.

You take their badge numbers? If you do and you complain they will probably not do anything, but if the police department gets numerous complaints about the same officers they'll stop assuming it's a one off.

Personally I wouldn't have let them delete the video.

Whell about 1:30pm I went to the Apple store at the Galleria Mall in Fort Lauderdale, there was a huge line about 200+ people that was all split up to avoid blocking shops... so I left for the AT&T store on Sunrise, there was only about 12 people there so I got in line. There was a lot of FtLaud police all over so there wasn't really any problems.

AT&T had major computer problems when the first group of 6 went in for their phones and it took them ages to come out, some longer than others. I was # 13 in line and ended up getting in at 7:00pm because of all the problems. There was probably around 75+ people behind me, so they are probably still there.

did the store say how many they had? this info makes no sense to me because they all say "O we don't know" I said look I work in shipping and receiving just go look at the packing slip and it says the amount you received.

The manager was there outside the door keeping guard with a cop and a lot of people asked how many he had and he always said he didn't know.

The AT&T store had problems with their computer systems for some reason, he said they had a nation wide emergency ticket out to fix the problems. It took each person like 20+ minutes to get out, I think a lot of people had trouble getting their credit cards and stuff to work.

Luckily it seems as Apple has given most of its stock to the stores, so check the availability thing tomorrow morning early and head out. I am pretty sure you may be able to find one somewhere still.

gather some witnesses and file a complaint
I'm waiting to find out because the guy that "harassed" the cop works for the state attorney's office so just to show you how pissed he was he forfeited his place in line which was like #8 and just gathered names and numbers the whole time. so wish us luck
