bought a 2g off ebay for parts. but decided to see if i could get it working insted. had water damage. power button doesn't work. screws are rusted in place so i cant change out the power ribbon cable. but it will turn on when plugged in. i cant sync to iTunes because it says its locked. trying to get pwned dfu mode but iTunes is the new issue. any advice?

Contact the seller & see if they will provide the passcode. I don't know if it would be worth all the effort though... screws rusted?

i contacted seller. says he doesn't no pass code. not sure what IMHO me. lol i only paid $12 for it. not bad considering everything works on it except the power button. digitizers alone are $9. but its looking like my options have ran out and will just end up useing for parts. unless someone has any ideas of other things i haven't tried
