3GS slow response time

My wife and I both have the iPhone 3GS. Mine seems to have a much slower response time than hers when typing, opening apps, etc...it's the same on 3G or if we're on a wireless network.

What gives?

How many apps you having running? Dbl tap home button and close them all out. Phone getting too full or near capacity?
Try a hard reset/reboot by pressing and holding both lock & home buttons until you see the Apple logo.

I always close out the unused apps and I have 700mb space left.

When was the last time you did a hard reboot? That can fix many strange things.
