3rd party stylus?

i know jobs really knocked the stylus in his keynotes...and i agree...but do u guys think there will be any market for a stylus like device to make certain tasks easier for people with big fingers or ones that arent very nimble? just curious what u guys think...thanks!

One of the reported advantages of a multi-touch screen is that it ignores unintended screen touches. If it works as advertised, this will eliminate "fat finger" syndrome so I doubt anybody would be interested in a stylus. We will just have to wait and see how well this works though.

The multitouch screen senses fingers only- a stylus won't work. Think laptop touchpad - same deal - it senses the capacitance, if I remember correctly.

My current phone (a motorola with a touch screen) has a little stylus in back of it, but I never use it for fear of looking like a tool. You'd be surprised at how accurate you can get with your thumb on a tiny little touch screen.

I honestly don't think many people would go for the idea of a stylus.
