It's already out now as of yesterday.Any word on when the patch for the PDF exploit is suppose to come out?
That doesn't make sense? The jailbreak is PDF based and the device has to be jailbroken in order for you to install the patch, which protects the user from other PDF based (harmful) exploits via the patch in Cydia.Besides making the device unjailbreakable, that is all it does.
That's not what I'm saying, if Jailbreakme wasn't released no one would have been the wiser.Someone knew about the PDF vulnerability.
You can patch it with the 4.3.4 update without jailbreaking.
Thanks. I got it. Is that all I need? Just stay on 4.3.3 until further notice or updates?PDF Patcher 2.
Yup, you're fine where you are. All 4.3.4 does is fix the PDF vulnerability.Thanks. I got it. Is that all I need? Just stay on 4.3.3 until further notice or updates?
Yes. But it's tethered.Just for information then. Can the iPhone or iPad 1 still be jail broken on 4.3.4 using Redsn0w, since it is not using the PDF vulnerability?
Each firmware update throws in a new problem, most if not all recent firmware updates have been jailbreakable, but tethered initially. I see no requirement to update to 4.3.4 when I can get the PDF patch from Cydia for 4.3.3.So the PDF "fix" in 4.3.4 did more than just fix the PDF vulnerability, since Redsn0w did not exploit that vulnerability. That was a question I think!
