I haven't charged my iPhone for 4 days and i still have around 50% left. This is by far the best of any prior smart phone that i have had. I love that about this phone.

Lol you must be turning your phone on and off between use, or not using your phone at all because that's really hard to believe.

i've never turned my phone off. I'm not a heavy user i guess but every i day i make a few calls, check email several times, read some news on the web and play around with it.

Longest I've gone so far is 3 days. I took it off the charger Sunday morning (early) and it didn't go back on until last night (Tuesday, late).

My usage was: A little texting, 40 minutes of iPod music, 20 minutes of web browsing (on WiFi), 1 or 2 phone calls, connected to Bluetooth (car) for about 2 hours (no calls during that time), a few calendar reminders and new entries, checked e-mail 2 or 3 times and 2 or 3 glances at the weather. There's probably a little miscellaneous playing I'm forgetting, but that about covers it.

I've also experienced phenomenal battery life. I can probably go four or five days at least without a recharge, and that's with fairly frequent use of calls, mail and safari, photos, maps, youtube, etc.

About the only feature I don't use daily is the actual ipod portion of the iphone--listening to audio or watching video. Though I do sometimes start up a tv show, movie or song.

I do however shut my phone down at night, so that probably helps. But 14 hours, four to five days a week (at least) of it being on and in use without charging is pretty damn good.

Best battery I've ever had in a cell phone.

I have to charge everynight. I use the phone to check emails about every 30 min, watch a movie a day on it, listen to the iPod, browse the internet and text for a lot of the day.
So far I'm at 4 1/2 hours of usage in my Stats and right about 50% battery life left.

I am finding that right now I use it a lot and have to charge at night. But once I go back to work, a teacher, I know I will have it shut off. I also have used more of the wi-fi. I only got 3/4 of day today but I was on it more than normal. I did use about half yesterday but put on charger last night to have full charge today since I was going to be on a trip today. Would getting a charger for the car be beneficial you think?

I hope I will see longer battery life soon.

I guess I'm getting decent battery life as well. I took it off the charger yesterday morning around 7 or so and since then I've probably listened to ipod for probably 2 or 3 total hours at work and hour at the gym and then another hour today so between 4-5 hours. Had probably a few calls, checked VM, sent and received probably a half a dozen texts, checked the weather and stocks once or twice and watched probably 5 minutes of video. I'm at about half battery.

is there any way to tell what % of the battery you have left. because i feel as my battery is draining i charged the phone whole night....and then wifi off and i see it like half bar...so i don't know if it is a battery drain or not

So far this is what i get . This was on only my second charge since i got the phone . :

Usage 8hrs 8 minutes
Stand by 3 days

15% charge left

I turn my phone off when i go to bed at night and turn it back on in the morning . Have wifi and bluetooth turned off . During this usage made some phone calls . Some text messages . Was on you tube using wifi for about 2 hours and about another hour browsing the internet. Also listened to music for about 4 hours .

So i think my battery is probably looking pretty good.

My battery life may be skewed today because I don't think EDGE has been working all day. It hasn't been since at least 5pm, possibly earlier.

I took my phone off charge this morning at 8:30 with a full charge, I have 4hr and 38min usage time and 18hr 3min standby. I would say 30 min were for phone calls, and the rest of the time was spent on safari, texting, and listening to ipod with the screen off. I also had my wifi on the whole time. My battery looks to be a little over a third full. Would you guys say this is the expected result? And is there anyway to get the battery left in percentage rather than having to eye ball it? Thx all

edit: I just plugged it in now to the charger and the battery display went to a little above half, and so did the battery icon when I unplugged it. It seems like there is an inaccuracy in displaying battery life.

ive been testing my battery today so here are the results so far
usage 10 hours
standby ten hours and 2 mins.
a little under 50% battery life left
ive been playing the ipod non stop all day just to see how long it will last
i made a couple short phone calls
wi fi has been ON the whole 10 hours
100% backlight brightness
i went on safari for at least 10 mins
i watched about 20 mins of a movie
so far the batterys been holding up extremely well and above my expectations.
all ive been doin is putting it in standby (while playing music) and only stopped the music for the part of the movie i watched and the couple phone calls.

I charge mine everynight too, and no don't return it, we just use it more than other people.
Yeah, think about it...this phone is so cool and new that we use all or most of it's features all the time, plus showing it off to other ppl. Once the novelty wears off (if ever), we won't use it as much and the battery life will seem longer, IMHO.
