4S unlocked overseas

A friend of mine bought an unlocked 4S and now he is wondering how she can use it in Belgrade, Serbia. She has a sim card from her old provider from there so she obviously needs to create a microsim out of it. Otherwise does anyone else have any info that might help? Thanks

I have a factory unlocked 4S and cut my standard-sized T-Mobile SIM down to a micro SIM and it works fine. Nothing else needs to be done.

If the iPhone is unlocked it will work in any country and provider as far as I know .
