5.1.1 iPhone 4s Calendar Invite Feature

Since my software updated to 5.1.1 I cannot invite anyone to events I create. (Come to think if it, I haven't received any invites my friends said they sent either.) Help? Anyone? I keep searching for this topic, but can find no answers. Thanks, in advance, oh iPhone experts!

Oops. Newbie here. Sent you a message instead of replying. (So the following is a duplicate...)

Thank you for the reply! I understand that I have to change my Apple ID. I have changed it to a gmail account I use mainly and deleted the other addresses.. However, my iCloud ID is still the old address. How do I update it? Do I have to delete the account? Will it delete all of the data in my calendar and contacts on my iPhone?

Disregard. The iCloud ID changed over automatically to my new Apple ID. Thanks!
