i hate all the existing cases and don't think one is necessary for use. however i'd like to keep it in a sleeve made of the material that the iPhone cleaning cloth is made of. something very similar to the ipod sleeve/case that comes with ipods. i think it would be perfect in that cloth material. i have seen a LOT of cases but nothing as simple as this. i wish Apple would have made the cloth a case! who is going to carry around the cloth with them? now who would if it were a case/sleeve? if Apple sells them, i may buy another and just sew two together and make my own. especially since the cloth says "iPhone", too cute. Apple, i hope you are listening. this would cost you close to nothing and be super cool for your next revision.

i did look at that. if i had to get something that already exists, that is what i would get. however, i do not think it needs a case while in use. just something to protect it if i toss it in a bag or something. i think it would be fine without it (See the pc world stress tests), but this type of cloth case would double as the cleaning cloth rather than having to carry that around separately. if the phone is inside the cleaning cloth, the cloth is not getting lost.

i've seen this type of drawstring sleeve/case on a friends nokia - it came with the nokia and he slides it in and out when he wants to use it and it keeps fingerprints and smudges off the screen because it gets "cleaned" everytime you put it in the case. if someone doesn't come out with these soon, i may start manufacturing them myself.

I've been using my Oakley sunglass "bag" and threw the iPhone cleaning cloth in there. Of course, the cloth is all crumpled but at least it's in there. I was also thinking of sewing 2 cloths together. Anyone wanna give theirs up? :laugh2:

I actually lined my cases with micro suede for this very same reason. To help keep the screen clean going in and out of the case.

Outside of that, micro suede is pretty easy to come by at fabric stores. And draw string bags are WAY easy to sew. It's an easy do-it-yourself project.

I have been doing the same...I am going to check out a few optical stores to see if they will sell me some for cheap. What I really want is for APple to sell the black iPhone cleaning cloths in bulk packs.

ive actually been using my little sleeve case that came with my ipo video 30 gb a year or two ago to hold up for when my case arives. i had never used the sleeve till now and its actually bee workin pretty nice. it doesn't change the size of the iPhone so you can easily place it in your pocket.

I also have a sunglass pouch made of microfiber. Its great because it polishes as I walk pretty much. It serves dual purpose and it has a draw string. Really easy to get in and out. If you can buy a piece of microfiber cloth my bag is only stitched on one side.
