It doesn't appear that I can download a file from my iDisk via my iPhone. I get the little circle-with-the-line-through-it symbol.

Anyone have a workaround or fix?

What type of file are you trying to download? iPhone will only play certain media files and display pdf/doc/xls documents

Doesn't seem to matter what type of file it is. I've tried .doc, .xls, .ppt. All the same. I think the issue is that iDisk wants to download the file to your HD and not just open it. I'm guessing the iPhone doesn't have the ability to "save" the file on it's drive, to be opened later.

you are correct - at this point, the iPhone does not have what you'd think of as an accessible file system.

That may come in the future - for now you can sync stuff to it via iTunes, and that's about it!
