not all people are having problems and it never hurts to try so go ahead i was able to activate the first day hours after purchasing and the next morning also. (because i had reformatted my iPhone) but yeah go ahead and try activating its not like itll mess up your iPhone if it doesn't work
edit.. i guess it depends on whether your an existing customer or not. well i am an existing customer so maybe thats why it worked so easily fo rme
