Hi, sorry if this is common knowledge, but I don't own an iPad, so I don't know. I got an email from AT&T today suggesting that the iPad 2 is the perfect reason to add a line. When you have a 3G iPad, do you get a phone number on the data line, even if the iPad can't make phone calls? Why do they want you to add a line, if they aren't going to subsidize the cost of the iPad? I'm sure there's a simple answer.
It goes on to say that "Getting an iPad® 2 is easy when you add a line of service with a qualifying data plan.
Limited-Time Offer." How is it easier than simply getting that same iPad 2 and not adding the data plan?
Sent from my alphanumeric pager.
