The safest way is to trade it In with best buy. If the iPhone is in good condition and has no water damage, they will give you $270 for a 16GB.
It's perfect. Theres a small scratch on the P in iPhone on the back. And who's They?

Try putting toothpaste on it, to see if it buffs it out. They is best buy. You get a best buy gift card of $270 Or a check for 170. I'd go with $270, as best buy always has the iPhone or iPad on launch date.

Honestly for an iPhone in good condition selling it for $270 OS way too low and a quick look says amazon trade in gives more cash about $320. The reason those are too low in my opinion is that an off contract iPhone new from Apple goes about $600-$700 so $450 you mentioned sounds reasonable. Once you go to the reset area of the settings app on iOS it wipes the phone clean of any personal info, then you see the iTunes restore on screen and you can feel free to sell it via eBay, amazon also offers a similar program(not trade in but actually selling it), or something such as craig's list.

But in the end the easiest way to sell it is to do a trade in program but you can get more money selling it yourself.

I'm actually surprised best buy is offering $70 more then it sells for.
Mac that's how much it sells for on contract. When you sell an iPhone it is for the off contract price thus the seller can pay off the contract ETF when the iPhone 5 comes out.

I have sold over 500 items, 50 or so being phones on eBay. Never had a problem with them or paypal. It's safe and secure as long as you are honest about what you are selling. iPhone4 16g is close to $500. After shipping an fees, you will clear $450-465.

Alright sweet thanks I'll try Craigslist I was thinking about getting it unlocked I heard its similar to jail breaking which means since the software has the latest update wouldn't I have to wait for to be created?
