Heres a tip I stumbled upon accidentially.
1. Go to aim.com and set up aim to forward ims to your cellphone http://mobile.aol.com/mobileaim
2. Log into one of the various aim proggies, to view your online buddies.
3. Send im to that buddy.
4. Log off of the proggy.
5. It will automatically forward their im to you as a sms message.
This will keep you from having to have the program running using edge and forcing all calls to your voicemail.
Ive used this for a few days, saves my battery and lets me stay in contact.
