AirPlay- mirroring not appearing

Have an iPhone 5 and Apple tv 2..both connected to same wifi but when i try to mirror it the icon does not appear.. Any ideas?

Airplay ion went missing with iOS6.0.1 on both my iPhone 4s & iPad gen 1, hope the Apple isn't sacrificing comparability to iPh 5 & iPad 4

Have you checked that n the ATV that the airplay mirroring is set to on in the settings?
I have noticed that with mine after it has been unplugged from the power and then put back on again that mirroring is switched off whereas this didn't happen before, well i never noticed it before.
