Alternative to OpenNotifier

Is there an alternative to OpenNotifier on iOS 5 on my jailbroken (untethered) iPhone 4?

The latest OpenNotifier crashes springboard.

All I'm looking for is a status bar new mail icon, as well as a new text message icon.

Those are zero's in n00neimp0rtant. He has uploaded an updated version to that repo and it works except for pseudo-badges.

@larryo108: Thanks! That works great. I have what I need (simple status bar icons) and am not worried about badges (or am I?)

I want the pseudo-badges, so I can get the statusbar notifications for ESPN scorecenter.

I have tried intelliscreenx and lockinfo. I prefer lockinfo number 1. And for me OpenNotifier offers far more in the way of statusbar notifications. But if I was just looking for statusbar notifications for mail and text, i would use lockinfo for it.
