am i crazy or can we not skip around in a song?

how do i fastforward or rewind music on my iPhone? i never thought about it till now but i don't have a bar like i do for videos.

all that you have to do is touch once towards the top while you are viewing the album art for the current song playing and the bar should pop up and you can then search through the song

press and hold the previous or next song buttons to fast-forward or fast-rewind during playback.

What I neglected to mention was, that I was also using the facilities at the time and the wife was starting to get suspicious.
