Anyone else upset about the price drop to $399?

I think it sucks that people can walk in, buy a new iPhone, get a 2 year warranty, case and travel charger, and that stilll costs less then what i paid for my iPhone

i think as long as everyone is cavalier about this action, Apple will continue. While I will not get my money back, I will surely not be a part of the Apple bandwagon in the future.... I have a strong aversion to the company now.

So Cal
Thats the problem with these companies, we little people have to save our hard earned money to buy these things and then they go and stab us in the back by dropping the price and making us look like idiots and poor ones at that. Shameful, despicable, disgusting Apple.

lol at the outrage:laugh2:

The price of being a early adopter. Get over it or go return your phone.
Newsflash: Apple just broke the record on the price of early adoption. I'm a repeat early adopter and proud of it. It NEVER cost this much.

I will never again buy an Apple product. That's the price Apple has to pay for screwing this early adopter.

Well, I for one am happy about the price drop.

All you people claiming to be "loyalist", you waited in long lines and even camped out for this thing, that seems pretty loyal to me.

So what you've been some of the "exclusive owners of an iPhone" for a couple of months and dropped your big bucks to be in that position. Time for Apple to branch out.

I'm not poor, I make a good living and support my family. Ive struggled financially in the recent past, and I'm still overcoming this hurdle but very close to being debt free!

What irritates me is you folks in this thread that think Apple products are made for you and you only, you sound like a bunch of snobs! You know who you are. Gimmee a break already.

i just got my 200 credit back at the store...i knew about it before most of the people working at att...i told them and they didn't believe me then they checked their emails and there was a procedure email on it lol
Hey nyisles84, are you a member of Hockey's Future and post on the Islander's board over there ? I know the owner of this site does. Anyway, do you get good reception on your iPhone in NYC & Long Island ? I'm planning on switching from Sprint to AT&T, even though I have a year to go on my contract.

Also, ladies and gentlemen, I'm sorry you guys got shafted lke this. Though pleasantly surprised by the $200 price cut (thinking of getting an 8Gig refurbished iPhone for $350), I have been an early adapter of technology, and have been royally reamed like you guys got. Maybe enough people can stir up some bad publicity and recoup some of your funds. I'm rooting for you guys !

I smell another lame class action lawsuit. :laugh2:

It's like the fat guy who screwed McDonald's because he's a fat ass. Simple solution. Don't eat McDonald's everyday, eat better, exercise and you won't get fat.

Apple or Steve Jobs didn't put a gun to your heads and force you to buy the iPhone on launch day. YOU choose to on your own free will. Now that Apple dropped the price, you ***** about YOUR decision!?

Like it or not, this is how tech products work. Buy it now, tomorrow the price will drop and the next day it will be phrased out for a new and improved model. I expect an $499 16GB iPhone announcement any day now.

Man I am pissed. I would have waited if I knew it would only be 2 months until a 200 dollar price drop! I was told that it would be until next summer for the first price drop. Apple should at least give an iTunes gift card (like 50 bucks or so) to all of us who were ripped off by paying 600 bucks.

Apple wants to hear from you!

If you’ve recently bought an iPhone, we’d love to hear your favorite story about using it. Call and leave a voicemail with your story at 1-800-764-9941, or write us. We’re all ears.

I think everyone of us should call Apple and "Share our Story"! don't you agree?

My thoughts

Its really hard to understand how this happened at first, but then you realize Apple is a step ahead when it comes to businesss. They realized that the iPhone was a innovative device and the first to its market so they could slap that huge price tag on it and people would pay because there were no alternatives. They easily could have made profit if they sold the phones for $399 right off the bat, as I believe they only cost a little over $200 to make anyway. The reason they lowered it now is with the iPod Touch coming out, there is now an alternative. Who in their right mind was going to pay $300 more for the ability to make and receive calls? If they kept the price the same, no one would buy the iPhone. So they did the only smart businesss move available, lower the price of the iPhone. It's a shame because 99% of the people who bought the phone before the drop, are going to feel robbed and cheated by a company that is innovative and different at a time when someone needs to be.

well as you guyz might of seen i was pretty pissed in my post on page 1. i got my iPhone on the 29th, i WAS so pissed i lost 200 bucks, but i my friend works at the Apple store, so i called her after my post and told her why i was angry. she said bring in my receipt and she will take care of it, i got 200 bucks credited back into my account. :)

so before getting all mad lke i was, talk to someone at the Apple store (manager is best) and tell them very very kindly whats the problem, if they like you they should help you out aka take care of you. but if they don't try another Apple store.

hope the best for all

by the way im 16 and this was really crucial for me.
