So who here is married? How long? Happily?

I am not married but I have been dating someone for a while now and I am thinking about proposing marriage but I am not sure that the time is right for either of us. We are both fairly young, I am 24 she is 22!

I am married and have been for 4 years now. We have a beautiful daughter that is 17 months old and things just keep getting better. Marriage is definantly something that you need to think about before jumping in and things will not always be peachy keen but if you truly love someone you can make it work. Good Luck!

I am married as well and have been for 8 years. I really like being married so that I do not have to face all the challenges alone. I think that if you are thinking about proposing that you need to continue to think some more. Usually people just know and throw caution to the wind and do it.

I am not married and do not plan to get married anytime in the near future. I still have a lot to do before I settle down and become a family type person. I still like to go out and have fun on the weekends and stuff like that.

I am married but think that we are soon headed for a divorce, things just do not seem to be the way that they used to be years ago. Thankfully we have no children so if we can't work things out it will just be him and I that have to work through it.

Sorry to hear that Ebony. This is part of the reason that I am really waiting it out to get married since the divorce rate is so high I figure that you are more than likely going to go through a divorce than make it. Hope things do work out for you!

Give it time! You're both young so what's the rush? Enjoy your life together for a while. In time you'll know for sure if you want to be with this person for the rest of your life.

I got married at the age of 42. (And not for a lack of GF's up to that point.) I've very very glad to have waited. Now I have a very young, beautiful wife and to incredible children. I'm the happiest man alive!

I've been married twice. I don't plan on doing that again. But... I have a wonderful life with a great guy. We've been together for 3 years now, we're both in our 50's and neither of us sees any reason to get married. We bought a house at the beach and spend as much time boating and fishing as we can.

I'm 39 and getting married next month. My wife to be is 24 but she's ready to settle down and tie the knot... so, count me as one of the happiest men alive. :p

I've dated a lot over the years... and to be honest I will NOT miss the singles scene.

Happily married since October of last year

So who here is married? How long? Happily?

I am not married but I have been dating someone for a while now and I am thinking about proposing marriage but I am not sure that the time is right for either of us. We are both fairly young, I am 24 she is 22!

But my first husband (10 years) and my second husband (5 years) were just practice to find out what I do and don't do in relationships that make them work or don't work...I can't speak for you, only for myslef: I didn't know who I was going to be yet in my 20s or how to take care of my own emotional self in my 30s so I wasn't qualified to pick a life partner yet. The difference between me at 22 and me at 32 was too far a distance to choose the right person at the front end of that decade.

All that said, go ahead, many of us need to get our trainer marriage out of the way in our twenties, don't we?

Got married a year ago this coming Sunday (the 26th) I waited till I found the right person, and we both KNEW we were right for each other.
Getting married at 38 seems a little late for some people, but I would rather be late than wrong and have to go through a divorse, etc., etc.
At 24 and 22, I would tell you to hold off and just enjoy each others company for as long as you can. You will know when the right time to step up is.

Happily married 8+ years

We have a 2 1/2 old little boy that's just as cool as he can be

I can't think of anyone else I'd rather spend my time with. My wife and son.

All you younger people that are afraid of getting hitched because you still have to many "fun" things to do, if you find the right one (and not everyone does) you can still have your fun and share it together. I've been married since I was 20 and havnt looked back once and thought that I had made a mistake. That's how well my wife and I sort of "gel" I guess you can say.

My wife and I do 95% of everything together. Sure you're gonna want some time to yourself, but you understand what I'm saying.

I work with about 12 other guys at work, most of which are single, and I'm good buddies with a few. I've been invited to hang out with them on several occasions, but honestly I couldn't imagine doing anything without my wife! I LOVE HER SO MUCH!

Sorry didn't mean for this to be a long post, started to get carried away.

But good luck OP in whatever decision you make.
