Anyone own a Zune?

Just curious. MS claims they've sold 1M Zunes just short of their projection of June. But I don't know anyone who has one. I've seen them in stores but that's it.

I don't know anyone who owns a Zune. Everyone I know that has an mp3 player either owns an iPod or a SanDisk Sansa.

I don't know anyone who has one either... everyone I know uses iPods.

I took a look at the Zune at a store one time... damn those things are ugly!

I don't know of anyone who has a Zune. I only met one person who even wanted one; some Windoze lover at EBGames who hates Apple. At the gym everyone has mp3 players and at least 90% of them are iPods.

Yeah, I know, this is really weird. I'd think with 1M sold I'd see at least one on someone. My conspiracy theory gland is working overtime at the moment. I'm thinking these guys at MS are pulling our legs (to put in nicely).

I know two that own them on another modding forum and they are testy about it too. Mention iPod and they bite your head off. Don't even start with an iPhone comment.

I have one. Bought it soon after I was deployed to the desert. In my shop of 16 men there's 6 of us that already bought them. I enjoy it. I don't care about brand, its what I feel is easier to use.

I work at Best Buy, in the Wireless department selling mp3 players and cellphones.

I cringe every time someone buys a Zune.

Just saw a David Pouge video program on iPods and "other mp3 players" He mentions that "Microsoft will be spending 100s of millions of dollars to market this new ipod lookalike" All I can say is that I'm glad even Microsoft recognizes a dog when they see one. Thank God we don't have to suffer through 100s of Millions of dollars worth of "Welcome to the Social..." commercials. But then again I watch most of my TV on my iPod, whoops scratch that, iPhone, so MS commercials won't be a problem. Is it just me, or does just about every online streamed video presentation on the web begin with a Microsoft commercial? It's really starting to look desperate in Microsoft's camp.

Well, of to chomp some more Video content for the week ahead. By the way, Cars on the iPhone, off the charts! Looks amazingly sharp and has a real cool 3D look. Make sure you keep a copy on your iPhone for all those PC Boys to drool over...

Well also, you have to remember good products and good advertising go together. If you've never heard of a product you won't buy regardless of quality... the number one reason for purchase is name recognition.(advertising)

I own Zune and I love it this iPhone is actually my first Apple product in 12 years. It is very well made and I would recommend it as a great phone. It's not going to be a super multimedia machine though because of storage space restrictions.

I'm a freak, I have a Zune. LMAO. It's pretty good to me. Not as good as my iPod though, just because it doesn't work with my Mac, which sucks out the arse. I really like the way it has the radio built in, but now that I have the iPhone, Zune, say hello to eBay.

I also had a zune before I bought the iPhone sold it because with the phone no reason to have 2 mp3 players and I don't know if I should say this but here goes.....

I liked it better than my iPod for a few reasons

• the ZunePass,
• the interface I found it much easier than the scroll wheel
• The Widescreen - this was the deciding factor for me when deciding to buy another iPod (would have been my 4th) or get the zune

Only negatives I saw about the zune

• The Zune Software was horrible
• Crashed a few times and had to reboot it

But now with the widescreen on the iPhone and the perfect UI zune went to ebay and sold!

I agree. I bought the zune right before I deployed to the desert. I bought it because of the widescreen also and the Zune pass (which i haven't used because Im in the desert). But i just bought an iPhone which I plan to replace my zune as soon as I get back to the states.
