Good afternoon.

I'm wondering if anyone has used the Applesauce polish on the chrome around their iPhone to remove any scratches? How does it work? Interested in possibly getting some to clean up some minor scratches.

Thanks.

the brushed metal looks awesome in that pic, but I bet it looks like crap in real life. I wouldn't recommend doing this because once you start, u can't go back, unless your phone is really, really scratched now.

Ok, I might make a new thread about this...but I did the "scratch your iPhone more" trick to buff out the scratches and make a mettalic edge instead of the lame chrome.

Im not joking, it looks AWESOME! I'll post some pics if anybody is interested, but seriously, if you don't like the stock "bling" and finger smudges and scratches, you should do this.

It only takes 20 minutes tops, I spent $7 at Target and my iPhone looks a million times better. It isn't scratched at all anymore and looks way classier.

I don't know how else to put it, but if you are as furious with the scratches as I was, you should give it a try, its scary at first, but SO worth it!

(thanks for listening to me rant, I'll help anyone out if they are curious!)

Let's make it clear.

The shiny edges of the iPhone is not "chromed".... It is just polished steel (stainless I assume).....

if it is chromed then you can't brush up the finish.

it would probably look like crap after you got done with it.

I did it and it looks just like the picture. i love the new look absolutely 100% no regrets BUT...

You HAVE to be concentreted
you NEED to do it right (back and forth)
and..
don't mess up, but if you do, it doesn't matter, just go over it again! :)
