anyone used the iPod feature in their cars?

if so how did you hook it up? ie roadtrip, fm transmitter, 30 pin direct cable setup? I hooked it to my fm transmitter with no luck music came out of the iPhone speaker and no my car....

just use a line in cable theyre real cheap like 4 dollars it plugs into the headset jack and then to the Aux input in your car. but when you playing it on speakers you might have to go into airplane mode because the phone part will make loud noises through the speakers. i pluggedi n my iPhone into my ihome ipod speaker thing and it prompted a message saying "this accesory is not compatible with iPhone would you like to go into airplane mode" by this time it was making lous noises (the noise you hear when you use a phone near a radio or anything) so i pressed yes and it worked perfectly with the ihome i could use the ihome remote to switch songs and all that.
