Anyway to suppress threads from from New Threads view?

I usually come here and quickly browse new threads via "What's New."

However there are indeed threads in which I have no interest. It would be awesome if I could flag them so never see them in the new threads list. Ahhhh to never see those "What are you doing" threads ever again. :)

Not being able to block threads was my inspiration for the Stuff You Would Like to Throw Into a Blackhole thread a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, no, it still can't be done. Someday. Maybe. But until then, you will see What are you doing? bumped to the top of the list, all day, every day.

Oh dang that it can't be done. :(

It would make looking at new threads sooo much easier.

So I guess I will get to see What are you doing? Part II hit 600 pages of who-the-hell-cares. ;)

I don't request new features often, but this would be amazing.

I think i'd even sacrifice a little magenta for it.

Would be useful to everyone. People who don't want to see any off topic. People who don't want to see iPad info. Or only want iPad info.

That's one of the liabilities of being a moderator - you have to peruse every thread once in a while. The one I used to hate was the game codes forum back when it was fairly busy.

If I recall, this is an upcoming feature of the forums -- I haven't seen a timeframe for when it will be available.
